Pea Spread

A very yummy alternative to avocado on toast is this pea spread on a slice of fresh sourdough bread. Besides, peas are a great source of plant-based protein, fibre and B-vitamins. It also a great dip for crackers or even nachos if you add some Mexican spices. Trust me, you will absolutely love it!

Portion: 1 small bowl

4 toasts



150 g frozen peas

1/2 lemon (juice)

25 ml olive oil

1/2 tsp smoked paprika powder

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp cumin



chilli powder or flakes (optional)



  1. Defrost the peas in the microwave.

  2. Put the peas, lemon juice and spices into a food processor. While mixing, pour in the olive oil. Mix until creamy. Season to perfection with salt and pepper.
